Galway: a good experience8 de Abril de 2013 | Por María | Categoría: Aprender idiomas, Trucos, Viajes
Two years ago, I went to Ireland to learn English and spend my holidays with my family in Galway, in the west of Ireland.
Galway is a small city of about 60,000 inhabitants, famous for its Arts Festival celebrated every year on the third week of July.
The weather is awful so, as you can imagine, it was raining every day and it was cold, about 13 degrees in July.
There are many students and academies to learn languages and I decided to go to one of them to improve my English.
I went there every morning from 9,00 to 12,30 with eight classmates from many countries and of different age groups.
My children went to another academy for teenagers on the outskirts of the city.
We spent there three weeks. We also visited the Cliffs of Moher, some castles and graves near the sea.
Besides, we saw many musicians who played in the streets and pubs of Galway.
In Ireland, people drink a lot of beer, especially “Guinness” and they dance in pubs every night.
To conclude, we travelled to Dublin and we spent there three days. We saw “The Temple Bar” and we walked the entire city.
It was a good experience, I recommend it.
