The 1st April in France is similar to 28th December in Spain. It’s a day for jokes.
1st April was born in 1564 in France.
The King Charles IX decided to mark this date as the beginning of the spring.
Many people celebrate this day sending some gifts, usually some food, presents and mainly playing jokes on their friends.
This day could make reference to the last sign of zodiac in winter.
The fish shops or Aquariums are the important victims in phones jokes.
If you go out to a restaurant on the 1st April, it is usual to have a chocolate fish as a dessert.
